FIERI Boston's 10th Annual Pasquetta Scholarship Awards Gala was held on Sunday, April 23rd, 2006 at the Spinelli's Function Facility in Lynnfield, MA.

FIERI Boston's 2006 Award Recipients

At our 10th Annual Pasquetta,

Dr. Dean Saluti was honored as the recipient of
the FIERI Boston Italian-American of the Year Award 2006

and

Ms. Marjorie Cahn was honored as the recipient of
the FIERI Boston President's Award 2006

FIERI Boston established its Italian-American of the Year Award in 2002 in order to further its mission of promoting a positive image of Italian-Americans in the media. The FIERI Boston Italian-American of the Year Award honors and celebrates the outstanding achievements of Italian-American men and women who continually seek to promote and preserve Italian culture, history, and heritage, while conducting themselves with the utmost integrity and professionalism.

Past recipients of the FIERI Boston Italian-American of the Year award include Ms. Pam Donnaruma (Publisher of the Boston Post-Gazette), Mayor Thomas M. Menino (City of Boston), Mr. Salvatore Balsamo (Chairman, TAC Worldwide), and the Hon. Judge Peter Agnes, Jr. (Mass. Superior Court Judge).

FIERI Boston's 2006 Scholarship Recipients

At our 10th annual Pasquetta,
the following graduating high-school seniors
were presented with FIERI Boston Scholarship Awards:

Ms. Alia Qatarneh (Boston Latin School)
Mr. Daniel Oliveri (Saugus High School)

Also at our 10th annual Pasquetta,
the Gerardo Nigro Memorial Scholarship Foundation
presented a special scholarship to Mr. Nicholas Colby.
